Countless Resources Available for Data Collection showing evidence of student learning.

Updated: Jan 27

There are many resources available at our finger tips waiting to be implemented as a vehicle to obtaining the data we as instructors need to make informed choices on how to most effectively create a learning environment that is conducive to each individual learner in our care.

Welcome to some of my favorite choices of useful data collection tools available on line...

Kahoots

Using Kahoots as a data collection tool for my students is simple as the tool provides reports(ie. development needs, competency, and excellence) on individual students following an assessment presented in a very fun and interactive manner.

Above is a screen shot of an assessment I conducted on my students recently in our Global History class. The image provides a snippet of valuable data collection material which will prove useful in targeting specific student's needs and strengths.

PearDeck

Another amazing data collection tool that is both fun, engaging and interactive - PearDeck.

Above is a screen shot of an assessment I conducted on my students recently in our Math class. The image provides a snippet of an interactive exercise that allows the students to provide realtime responses to the visual guided questions, while simultaneously enabling the instructor to present the responses in an anonymous manner. All of which is later recorded and a copy is sent to the students via email so they may use for reference at a later time to review and study.

Shake Up Learning

There are many data collection tools that integrate with Google classroom that make learning fun while providing valuable data to the instructors to facilitate instruction tailored to individual needs.

Google Forms, Google Slides, and Google Jamboard are all integrated with Google Classroom, allowing for easily translatable text at the click of a button. I like to shake up the learning and stimulate my students with innovative and engaging activities that provide data we need to determine the level of student engagement and learning.
